"Benny's Bathtub" (1971) - a classic Danish children's film
Just as films have had a central place in danish classrooms for many years, film inititiatives for pre school children are central to the work of the DFI.
Among the DFI activities for pre-school children are:
- Children’s Cinema (“Børnebiffen”) - free films for pre-school children at the Cinematheque in Copenhagen and in local cinemas outside Copenhagen.
- Filmpilot - film education courses for pre-school teachers.
- Close collaboration with DABUF - the association of Danish film clubs.
Lecture on the Danish experiences with film education for pre-school children - given in Stockholm in November 2011 by Line Arlien-Søborg from The Danish Film Institute
