Did you know

Since its inception in 1988, IDFA has welcomed 146 Danish films placing Denmark as number eight on the list of countries participating with the most films. In each of the last ten years around nine Danish films have been invited.

Since 2001 when Sami Saif and Phie Ambo won the main competition with "Family" Danish films have taken home seven awards. The last film to win the main competition was Anders Østergaard's "Burma VJ" in 2008.
