Kubrick masterpieces—'Dr. Strangelove', 'A Clockwork Orange' and 'Lolita'—are among the highlights at Copenhagen Filmhouse in September, together with new international docs and works by women directors. Events include a session with Maya Deren, Turkish hiphop from Berlin and Friday late night with the Rolling Stones in exile.

Roos Award 2010 to Lars Skree

AWARDS. Director of Photography Lars Skree, who put his life on the line while filming the war drama 'Armadillo' in Afghanistan, received the Roos Award 2010 at Ebeltoft, Saturday 28 August.

Short films burn through at Odense

FESTIVAL. Mikkel Munch-Fals, new artistic director of Odense film festival, has lifted the short film into a sphere of its own, reserving the competitive section solely for this format. Odense is about the short and sweet. Festivities kick off Monday 23 August.
