Carsten Brandt, Denmark, 1978

111 min.DK/Feature

In Copenhagen, a French businesman meets a young Danish woman during a 92-minute train stop-over. They don't speak each other's languages and yet they are briefly succesful in reaching across all barriers to experience the tender beginnings of mutual love. In stage director Carsten Brandt's auspicious film debut, a parting of sweet sorrow is inevitable, but the sadness is tempered with poetry and subtle wit.
