I Am Talking To You

Jørgen Leth, Denmark, 2013

57 min.DK/Documentary

»Jeg taler til jer« is a portrait of one of the biggest stars on the Danish Art Scene, John Kørner. The portrait is created by filmmaker, author and journalist Jørgen Leth. The film follows John Kørner for five years. We see him engrossed in the work of paintings named after dead Danish soldiers and paintings of women selling their bodies. At Amalienborg Palace, where he struggles to get approval for his painting to the Crown Prince, as well as when designing chairs in close cooperation with Cabinetmakers Fritz Hansen. The film takes the shape of conversations with the director - a conflicting meeting between two generations and two artistic traditions.
