Jens Jørgen Thorsen, painter, all-round provocateur and sometime filmmaker ("Quiet Days in Clichy", 1970, based on Henry Miller) spent two decades fighting everybody from the Danish government to the Vatican before he could finally shoot this madcap satire about Christ's return to contemporary hippiedom, defying all known morals and manners and getting himself laid by women, sacred and profane.
