»I have my children in Denmark, and I live in Haiti.« In this way Jørgen Leth, poet, journalist, expert commentator of bicycle races and above all film director, starts his film - or rather the film about himself. For once Jørgen Leth is not behind the camera, but in front of it as the main character. The poetic, reflective observer is being observed himself, while he tells about his life, his art, his motive power and his demons. Excerpts from several of his films are shown, and the portrait of him illustrates both a very simple and deeply complicated artist and a seeking human being, who is both calm and restless.
