Ulla Søe, Denmark, 2017

45 min.DK/Documentary

Hassan, 11, loves hip-hop, but dreams of being really good at football. At school Hassan has many friends, but who is best friend changes. It is important to be good in school, he thinks, and he wants to become a neurosurgeon. Hassan is a Muslim and prays five times a day. He has three big brothers, and he looks very much up to the oldest who is 23. When his parents and three brothers are set to fast for the upcoming Ramadan, Hassan is keen to take part in their experience of community. Even though fasting is not yet obligatory for him, his goal is to complete the fast like the others while counting down to the final Eid party.
