Producer. Born 1961 in Denmark. After working on a series of independent films, Børglum became a part of the Danish production company Zentropa when it was founded in 1992. At Zentropa, she worked as head of legal affairs and international financing and was executive producer on Lars von Trier's 'Dogville' (2003) and 'Manderlay' (2005).
In 2007, Lene Børglum left Zentropa to work independently. Her first film as a freelance producer was Lukas Moodyson's 'Mammoth' (2009). 'Mammoth' was followed by Nicolas Winding Refn's 'Valhalla Rising' (2009), produced in collaboration with Nimbus Film. Together with Refn, Børglum founded the production company Space Rocket Nation in 2008. The company has produced Refn's international feature films 'Only God Forgives' and 'The Neon Demon', both of which have been selected for the main Competition at the Cannes Festival. 'The Neon Demon' was followed by 'Into Darkness' (2020), directed by Nicolas Winding Refn's father, Anders Refn.
