Sophia Olsson

(1972 – )

Cinematographer. Born 19/4 1972 in Stockholm, Sweden. Graduated as director from Filmhögskolan in Gothenburg in 2002. In 2009 she supplemented this with an education in cinematograpy from The National Film School of Denmark.

Olsson has received numerous awards as cinematographer. Including Nordic Talents Award 2009 for the graduation films 'Anna' and 'Book of Miri', the Danish Arts Foundation Prize for Films in 2016 for 'Sparrows' (together with Rúnar Rúnarsson and Jacob Schulsinger) and Sven Nykvist's Cinematography Award in 2017 for 'Sameblod' and once more in 2018 for 'The Charmer'.
