Danish Producer on the Move

CANNES 2012. Over the last year, Signe Leick Jensen has produced Ole Christian Madsen's "Superclásico", founded her own production company, Toolbox Film, and finalized the production of Bille August's Danish comeback "Marie Kroyer". Leick Jensen is this year's Danish Producer on the Move in Cannes.

Signe Leick Jensen is among the 25 producers selected for the European Film Promotion's showcase for producer talents. The 13th edition of Producers on the Move will take place during the Cannes Festival on 19-22 May, offering one of the world's best networking and promotional platforms for young film professionals.

Signe Leick Jensen started her career at Nimbus Film and switched to Zentropa in 2003, where she was line producer on Lars von Trier's "Manderlay" and later produced Trier's comedy "The Boss of It All" in cooperation with Vibeke Windeløv and Meta Louise Foldager.

In 2007, Leick Jensen returned to Nimbus Film and was among the producers of Louise Friedberg's "The Experiment" and Ole Christian Madsen's "Superclásico". In March 2011, she started her own production company, Movie Toolbox, with fellow producer Morten Kaufmann.

Signe Leick Jensen has just finished the production of Bille August's new Danish movie "Marie Kroyer" along with producer Karin Trolle for SF Film Production. The film will be released in September 2012.
