FESTIVAL. Zlín Film Festival (30 May – 6 June), Europe's oldest and largest film festival for children and youth films, awarded two Danish films this weekend.
Giacomo Campeotto's "Storm" received the audience award the Golden Apple for Most Successful Feature Film, and Charlotte Sachs Bostrup's "Karla and Jonas" was awarded the Don Quixote Award by the FICC Jury (Fédération Internationale Des Ciné-Clubs).
"Storm", produced by Jennifer Green and Henrik Møller-Sørensen for ASA Film, is one of three Danish family films to travel to the Shanghai Film Festival's showcase of Nordic family films 14-20 June. "Karla and Jonas" is produced by Thomas Heinesen for Nordisk Film.
