Bar and event space for receptions and networking
Asta Bar is a distinctive bar and event space inside Cinemateket with capacity for up to 250 standing guests.
The space is well suited to receptions, networking, after-work gatherings, client events and social conclusions where you want a more relaxed setting than a traditional meeting or conference room.
Asta Bar can be screened off from the rest of the building, giving the event a cohesive setting and a clear identity. At the same time, guests retain a sense of being part of Cinemateket's active cultural environment.
The space has two screens, two projector screens with projectors and a sound system. These can be used for presentations, video, branding, practical information and music.
Asta Bar can be booked separately, combined with Bio Asta or used as the social conclusion to a programme elsewhere in Cinemateket.

A cohesive and screened-off setting
Asta Bar can be screened off from the rest of the building, giving your guests a clearly defined place to gather before, during or after the event.
The space remains part of Cinemateket, and there may therefore be activity in the surrounding areas. The precise boundaries, access arrangements and guest flow will be agreed before the event.
The layout can be adapted to the character of the event using the existing tables, chairs and other furniture. Requirements for catering, AV and branding will be agreed when booking.
Combine Asta Bar with Bio Asta
Asta Bar is located directly beside Bio Asta ("Asta Cinema") and works well as an arrival area, break space or social conclusion for events in the auditorium.
When Bio Asta is booked, Asta Bar can by agreement be used for one hour either before or after the event. If you need Asta Bar both before and after the programme or for a longer period, additional time can be booked.
For example, guests can begin with a presentation or film screening in Bio Asta and continue in Asta Bar with drinks, networking and an informal conclusion.

Screens, projectors and sound
Asta Bar has two screens, two projector screens with projectors and a sound system for presentations, video, branding, practical information and music.
The screens and projectors can be used for your visual identity, programme information, presentations or atmospheric content during the event.
Use of the screens, projectors and sound system will be agreed with Cinemateket's event team in advance.
Catering and bar service
Meyers provides all food and beverages through Restaurant SULT. Asta Bar is suitable for welcome drinks, reception catering, snacks, cocktails, wine and larger bar and catering solutions.
Bar service, staffing, menu and serving format will be agreed according to the duration of the event, number of guests and programme.
The dedicated bar area allows catering, networking and programme elements to take place within the same space.
Central location
Cinemateket is located on Gothersgade in central Copenhagen, close to Nørreport Station, the Metro, the King's Garden and the city's hotels, restaurants and cultural attractions.
This makes Asta Bar easy to reach for local guests as well as attendees travelling from elsewhere in Denmark or abroad.
The central location also makes it easy for guests to continue the evening elsewhere in the city after the event.

- How private is Asta Bar? Asta Bar can be screened off, giving your guests a clearly defined event space. - What is the difference between Asta Bar and the Foyer? The Foyer is an open arrival area with more movement through the space. Asta Bar is more cohesive and easier to screen off. Asta Bar is therefore particularly suitable for receptions, networking, bar service and social extensions to professional programmes.
- Can we use the screens and sound system? Yes. Asta Bar has two screens, two projector screens with projectors and a sound system for presentations, video, branding, practical information and music. The technical setup must be agreed in advance.
- Is Asta Bar best booked on its own or with Bio Asta? Asta Bar can be booked separately for receptions and other events. It also works particularly well with Bio Asta, as guests can move easily between a shared programme in the auditorium and social activities in the bar.
- Can we arrange food and beverages? Yes. Meyers provides all food and beverages through Restaurant SULT. Bar service, staffing, menu and serving format will be agreed as part of the event planning.
- Are set-up and breakdown included in the booking period? Yes. Set-up and breakdown must take place within the booking period. It is therefore important to include the necessary preparation and clearing time when booking.
- Is Asta Bar accessible for wheelchair users? Yes. Asta Bar is accessible for wheelchair users.
