Rokhsar Sediqi, 14, lives in Denmark with her mother, father and five siblings. In her spare time she plays on the local football team. Around five years ago Rokhsar and her family fled from Afghanistan, and after six months on the run they ended up in Denmark and applied for asylum.

The story of a young Rwandan refugee, Ibrahim, who lives in an asylum centre and makes a little money off the books by delivering newspapers. On his route, he meets an upper-class couple, Ingrid and Halfdan. This brief meeting sticks with Ibrahim and when the Refugee Board denies his appeal, he seeks refuge at Ingrid and Halfdan's house.

Center Jægerspris is an Asylum Centre for children who have fled to Denmark without their parents. The Centre houses 40 kids between 10-18 years of which the majority has fled from Afghanistan, Iran and Africa. The asylum process takes years to reach a verdict leaving the kids in a Limbo.

In May 2009, around 80 Iraqi asylum seekers sought refuge in Brorson's church in Copenhagen to avoid being expelled. Several of the Iraqis have been in Denmark for up to 10 years. Their children were born here, speak Danish and went to Danish schools.
