If anyone asked how Erik Bruhn was feeling, he often replied "I am the same, only more", a statement typical of his way of thinking. He has been called one of the greatest dancers of our time. Through his dancing he sought to express himself more than merely physically and emotionally; he aimed for the unattainable, and strove for transcendence to the spiritual.
