In a village in Argentina, Danish heritage is very much alive. Danish emigrants maintain the traditions of their old country in celebrating the Danish Queen Margrethe's birthday, holding a Danish Christmas market and listening to Danish tunes on the radio. The film tells a backward integration story; with humour it attacks themes of integration and identity by turning the gaze inwards: Danish emigrants are also creating ghettoes, they hold on to their language and traditions exactly as the immigrants in Denmark tend to.
