A fortnight's holiday with pay is now the right of every working person, man or woman, in Denmark. The new holiday law means that existing accommodation is taxed to the limit, and many organisations exist to provide cheap and pleasant holidays. The central Copenhagen office of Folke-Ferie (People's Holiday) is visited - a sort of travel agency supported by the Trade Unions and Co-Operatives.

This film starts with a tour of Copenhagen, but then it quickly suprises you with the fact that there are 500 danish isands. They have names like Fano, Bornholm, Aero, Moen, and many are connected by causeways and bridges. The terrain varies from great white cliffs to pastoral farmland.
