Dancer is a dynamic portrait of the world-renowned Danish ballet dancer, Nikolaj Hübbe. The film follows the course of this ambitious dancer during three dramatic months at the New York City Ballet, where he worked with Peter Martins. Hübbe's friend and ballet colleague, Ulrik Wivel, making his debut here as a director, has followed Nikolaj Hübbe at close range: in confidential discussions, during the gruelling work in the training studio and on stage.
