Per is good at soccer but less good at managing his life. He has been homeless for 17 years and now he is going to play for Denmark in the Homeless World Cup. With the rest of the team (ten men and a woman) he swaps his beer and cigarettes for Cola and vitamins as he embarks on a tough training program intended to strengthen body and spirit, self-confidence and togetherness.

Rico escaped from an institution in Caxambu that symbolizes hell on Earth for them.
