Hommage a Jorn

'Hommage a Jorn' reveals the creation process of a bronze sculpture by HRH Prince Henrik of Denmark. In the small Italian town of Pietrasanta we see the process unfold during the design of the sculpture. We follow the sculpture to the foundry where artisans takes over with techniques passed down through generations from Etruscan times.

A marble sculpture in Melbourne, Australia, of the former British King - King Edward Vll - has to be restored. The head, arm and foot are missing or has taken damage due to the forces of nature and human mistreatment. We follow the process of reconstructing the head and arm of the sculpture using 3D scanning technique and carving robot in Pietrasanta, Italy.

On sacred grounds in the southern Italian state of Calabria, century-old catholic paintings and historic furniture fill the 1970’s mansion. In the gardens, the family of Tirabassi feed the sheepdogs, dry the white sheets, water the grass, and exercise in the pool while singing. Today the women of the family have taken responsibility for the house and its surrounding farmland.
