Robert Svendsens Flyvning
1910
Aviation received much attention at the time. Charles Robert Edvard Svendsen (1884-1938) was a trained mechanic. He was the first to acquire a license to fly in Denmark.

The 148 meter long zeppelin arrived on 19 September 1912. Count Zeppelin himself was one of the passengers. Also Alfred Nervø (1879-1921), who in 1910 had been the first to fly over Copenhagen, was on board.

In the Summer of 1913, Maurice Chevillard put on his flight show in Copenhagen. Both the press and ordinary citizens could get a ride in his Henry Farman Biplane.
