Seasons of Blood and Hope

Lars Johansson, 2001

In »Seasons of Blood and Hope« we meet Serbs and Albanians from Kosovo. The shooting of the film started in Kosovo November 1998, four months before the NATO bombing, and it ended one year later in November 1999. Afterwar

Birgitte Stærmose, 2024

Burning buildings in a dense fog, a dead horse on a dusty road, people fleeing through harsh mountain landscapes. 'Afterwar' opens with images from war-torn Kosovo, 1999, as a dark chapter in the history of modern Europe draws to a close. After the war, children sell peanuts and cigarettes on the streets of Pristina in order to survive.

Forhandleren

Karen Stokkendal Poulsen, 2014

World history is in the making when EU chief negotiator Robert Cooper has to settle an agreement on stable co-existence between Kosovo and Serbia. New Danish documentary by Karen Stokkendal Poulsen brings its audience right into the core of these intense negotiations. Stakes are high but in spite of the seriousness of the negotiations, they turn out to be surprisingly funny and carried out with style and charm by the three characters at the table.

Velkommen til frontlinjen 2:6 - Verden bliver aldrig den samme igen

Anders Riis-Hansen, 2024

DENMARK AT WAR is a documentary series about Denmark’s war effort over the course of three decade - about the loss of innocence, the courage, and the consequences it has had for us and for those who the Danish troops fought.
When a nation goes to war, we move closer together to protect and defend those who, risk their lives at the frontline. But once the dust has settled, we must look for the nuances by giving a voice to those who were there; the Danish soldiers, the people who fought against them, as well as the civilians.
