Connected is a wordless sci-fi-tale following two human figures dressed in protective suits, travelling through a desolate apocalyptic wasteland. They are deply dependent on each other, since their breathing is shared through two hoses connecting their helmets.

Set in the near future, in a world where capitalism has run its course, Daniel a young Peaceforce officer meets Jesper, a prominent local citizen, who claims that an elephant is running amok in the city, killing people. Speared on by idealism Daniel decides to follow Jesper deep into heart of a desolate city believing he can make a difference helping the wounded and dealing with the elephant. Not long into his mission Daniel discovers that he's in way over his head.

During the space race between the US and the USSR in the 1950s and 1960s Soviet director Pavel Klushantsev (1910-1999) worked on innovative, extremely realistic science fiction movies whose influence on the genre would continue for decades. Klushantsev began his career in the 1920s making propaganda films for the army, and only survived the terrors of the Stalin era and the German siege of Leningrad during the Second World War by a miracle.
