Allah være lovet, det blev en dreng!

Nele Rue, Mette Bovin, 1979

An anthropological documentary about the possibilities and problems that confront Moslem women in Mangaland, Niger, West Africa. The directors chose Mangaland because one of them spoke the language and could interview people. The film is made up of four 'portraits' through which we learn how these Moslem women regard their own situation.

Film

Femø 1971

Vibeke Pedersen, 1973

The film consists of conversations among women on the first feminist camp. We receive a strong impression of their freshly gained curiosity and openness towards themselves and each other as they try to understand and analyse their lives as women. Through the film runs as an undercurrent that the aftermath of the camp will be new feminist relationships.

Rødstrømper - en kavalkade af kvindefilm

Mette Knudsen, 1985

This cavalcade reflects both the history of the cinema and the history of women's emancipation. It includes excerpts from about 20 films that have come into being more or less a result of grass-roots wishes to describe the realities of women's lives. It included recently filmed sequences linked together by a commentary which tells us about the first demonstrations, the Women's Liberation Movement, the fight for equal wages, the labour market, the situation of women in Third World countries etc.

Film

Borgerlig lykke

Film

Vi kræver ligeløn!

Lisbeth Dehn Holgersen, 1972

About working class women and their struggle for equal pay in 1971 when they stipulated that no agreement was to be signed by the negotiators if their demand for equal pay was not met. It happened, nevertheless. It is a warm film, entertaining at times.
