In Kabul, the school year has started at the Daqiqi Balkhi school. The boy Sohrab loves to read and do homework, which annoys his elder brother Rostam. Rostam is interested in mechanics. He works hard and wants to be like his father. Their younger brother Yaldash is tired of his brothers because they tease him, and he feels lonely. The teacher Nik talks about the old days in Afghanistan where people showed respect, gratitude and mercy.
