Instruktør: Buster Keaton
ENGLISH TEXT BELOW
LIVE-MUSIK: Lars Fjeldmose.
Buster turns up in a small town on the Mississippi River where his penniless father owns a steamboat. The father does not like his son’s dandified manners nor the fact that the young man falls in love with the daughter of a wealthy business rival. Unsurprisingly, however, Buster gets the opportunity to show what he is truly made of when a violent typhoon ravages the town. This takes place in a long sequence consisting of virtuoso stunts, carefully staged action scenes and perfectly timed tension. Among the many comic highlights is a scene where father and son buy hats, played directly into the camera as if it were a mirror. LIVE MUSIC: Lars Fjeldmose.
