Clara er en helt almindelig, 12-årig pige, der bor alene med sin mor og går i skole hver dag. En dag bliver Clara angrebet af en mystisk sort kat, der viser sig at være hendes vildven. Clara finder ud af, at hun tilhører en familie af vildhekse, som har en helt speciel kontakt til dyr og natur. Clara er imidlertid ekstra speciel, da hendes blod kan befri den onde heks Bravita Blodsunge, som planlægger at overtage den vilde verden.
