“Eye on Animation” is excited to host a MASTERCLASS by Director Norton Virgien from Brown Bag Films, a talk by filmmaker Johan Oettinger and the first OPEN STAGE PITCHING Session.
The event is a collaboration between Creative Europe Desk Denmark, VOID - International Animation Film Festival and Det Danske Filminstitut.
The afternoon starts off with a Masterclass by industry veteran Director Norton Virgien from Brown Bag Films (Ireland).
Norton is the talent behind the successful “Vampirina”, “Rugrats” and “Doc McStuffins” productions. During the masterclass, he will share more details about how Brown Bag Films developed a solid relationship with Disney over a couple of projects and how they then were able to take "Vampirina" from a simple concept to the final show.
Afterwards, Danish film and game director Johan Oettinger takes the stage. He will share his experience and learned lessons about pitching and developing projects like Seven Minutes in the Warsaw Ghetto at WiredFly.
The final part of the afternoon is devoted to the Open Stage Pitching Session.
In the pitching session, each speaker gets 10 minutes to present an idea on stage and 5 minutes to get feedback from a panel of seasoned experts and peers.
The session is open to students, young professionals, and veterans alike and will take place in a friendly environment.
The pitching is reserved for animated content: shorts, feature, series. There’s no restriction to the format of the presentation, just tell us any needed tech support at the registration desk.
The event is FREE - If you want to pitch a project or just grab a beer and mingle, we are looking forward to seeing you.
