According to the South Korean philosopher Byung-Chul Han and the Italian Architect Eleonora Carrano, the World could be going to a permanent state of emergency.
They come to the same conclusion without knowing each other, they live in different places of the planet, and they do not speak the same language. This phenomenon shows us that it is a common reflection of several intellectuals at this moment of human history: The humanitarian emergencies - consequence of Natural Disasters, Wars, Pandemic, Neoliberalism, Inequalities, and Climate Crisis - are each time more frequent.
The emergency could be the new state of normality, we could live in a continuous process of crisis, change, and adaptation.
How can architects, artists, and planners respond to a new social order that we do not still know?
Perhaps, we should have the courage to re-think our social structure and life models for proposing a more delicate balance between Nature and Society.
Perhaps, we should dare to redraw our ethical principles and moral values.
This will be discussed during this 4-hour seminar.
