The Gift: The Journey of Johnny Cash
Efter et fund af en stor kasse kassettebånd indtalt af Johnny Cash selv, er døren til den mytiske og ellers private musikers liv blevet åbnet. Cinematiske rekonstruktioner og arkivklip puster filmisk nyt liv i materialiet. Resultatet er en ærlig skildring af et liv som både udsendt morsekodeoperatør, rettighedskæmper, og on/off stofmisbruger. Fra de unge år til hans død i 2003, over Folsom Prison-koncerten og duetterne med han livs kærlighed, June Carter. Både ægteskaber, familietragedier og fængselsophold blev til udødelige, musikalske fortællinger, der ændrede country og folk-musikken over hele verden.
