ACCUSED wins Prix Fassbinder at European Film Awards


Jacob Thuesen's feature film debut "Accused" received the award, European Film Academy Discovery – Prix Fassbinder, at the European Film Awards ceremony, which took place Saturday 3 December in Berlin.The seven films competing in the Discovery category were selected by the European Film Academy and the Rainer Werner Fassbinder Fund. "Accused" received the majority of votes from over 1600 Academy members who voted. "Accused" was released in Danish cinemas in January. Admissions exceeded 50.000. The film was selected for the Official Competition in Berlin, 2005, was a winner at Kiev and Warsaw, and has been sold to a number of countries. "Accused" was produced by Thomas Heinesen for Nordisk Film.
