Awards 2007


In 2007, Danish films brought home 92 international awards, distributed among 18 feature films and 16 short & documentary films.
And the award goes to …The film to score the highest number of awards in 2007 was Peter Schønau Fog's feature film debut "The Art of Crying" with 14 in all, followed by veteran director Susanne Bier's "After the Wedding" winning 6 awards. Popular on the documentary side proved to be Pernille Rose Grønkjær's "The Monastery" with 9 awards and Eva Mulvad's "Enemies of Happiness" with 6.

A total of 209 films shown at festivals worldwideThe Danish Film Institute's Festival Unit works closely with film producers, sales agents and festival directors, coordinating the exhibition of Danish films around the world.
During 2007, 209 Danish film titles were screened at international festivals, adding up to 1010 bookings. Feature film titles totalled 101 and were screened at 260 events, whereas 108 short and documentary films were screened at 211 events.For further information:
