Brotherhood gains ground at Rome

Nicolo Donato's "Brotherhood", starring Thure Lindhardt, David Dencik and Nicolas Bro triumphed at International Rome Film Festival, taking the top award.

Milos Forman, chair of the International Jury, presented Donato with the Golden Marc'Aurelio Jury Award for Best Film. The film is also recipient of a second award: Farfalla d'oro (Agiscuola) Award, or the Golden Butterfly.

"Brotherhood", Nicolo Donato's feature film debut, is produced by Per Holst for Asta Film, and is supported by the Danish Film Institute's low-budget pool Råfilm-pilot fund. Release in Danish cinemas is scheduled for 8 April 2010.

Already sold to Holland and Belgium, "Brotherhood" was swept up by the distributor Lucky Red, who also handled "Antichrist" in Italy.
