Among the strong profiles in competition in Cannes are Danish directors Lars von Trier and Nicolas Winding Refn.
FILM#72, published on the occasion of the Cannes Festival, met up with von Trier in April for a talk about "Melancholia" and musings on whipped cream, catastrophes, Nazi aesthetics and his next film that he promises will be much naughtier.
The magazine also brings interviews with Refn and the two first-time feature directors selected for Cannes, Frederikke Aspöck og Rúnar Rúnarsson. Read about upcoming films such as media prankster Mads Brügger's "The Ambassador", Birgitte Stærmose's "Room 304", Christoffer Boe's "Beast", Mads Matthiesen's "Teddy Bear" and Martin Pieter Zandvliet's "A Funny Man".
