FILM-X
The film studio FILM-X offers children and young people the chance to experience how a film is made, and discover their potential as a director, actor or editor. A visit to FILM-X gives them experience in creatively collaborating in a group, developing a cinematic narrative and using the techniques and effects consciously.
Located at the Cinematheque in Copenhagen, FILM-X features various settings where children can shoot and star in their own short films, using virtual sets, backdrops, green screens and rear projection. The studio also contains professional equipment for sound recording and editing.
FILM-X offers sessions for schools and kindergartens. Private individuals can book events for children and teens, and companies can book teambuilding events.
FILM-X Animation
FILM-X Animation is a free online animation tool developed especially for children, enabling them to produce their own stop-motion films at home, including editing and sound recording. All you need is a webcam and the materials you want to bring to life with animation – and, of course, a good story. The software includes a large sound and music library, but you can also record and upload your own sounds.
FILM-X Animation is available in an English version and can be accessed from IP addresses outside Denmark.
