Cancellation
- After receipt of written confirmation: 25 percent of the total amount will be invoiced.
- Within the week leading up to the event: 50 percent of the total amount will be invoiced.
- The day before or on the day of the event: 100 percent of the total amount will be invoiced.
Cinemateket reserves the right to make changes and, if necessary, cancel bookings.
Rescheduling
It is possible to reschedule an event to a new date, provided the request is made no later than one week before the original event date. The new date must fall within two months of the originally scheduled date, and rescheduling can only be completed if suitable spaces are available.
A rescheduling fee of 25 percent of the original price will be invoiced. In addition, the event will be invoiced at the original price, although the final price may be higher if the new date or time carries a higher rental rate or includes other changed conditions.
If it is not possible to find an available date within the two month period, or if the rescheduling request is made later than one week before the event, the request is treated as a cancellation. In such cases, the standard cancellation terms apply, that is, 50 percent of the total amount for cancellations made within the week leading up to the event, and 100 percent of the total amount for cancellations made the day before or on the event day.
A rescheduling is only valid once written confirmation has been provided by Cinemateket.
Film rental and rights clearance
If you wish to screen a film for which you do not already hold the rights, Cinemateket must obtain the necessary permissions, since all screenings require proper rights clearance. Once we have confirmed your request, we will initiate the process of securing the relevant rights, including film rental and screening fees. This work is invoiced at 500 DKK per commenced hour, in addition to the external costs for film rental and screening fees, which are set by the rights holders. Once the price has been confirmed, the approval is binding, and you remain liable for these costs, even if the event is later cancelled or rescheduled.
Force Majeure
Neither Cinemateket nor the customer shall be considered liable to the other party for circumstances beyond their control, including natural disasters or other conditions that could not reasonably have been foreseen, avoided, or overcome. Force majeure may only be invoked if the affected party has provided written notice to the other party no later than 2 days after the force majeure situation has occurred. COVID 19 is no longer considered a force majeure event.
