Carl Theodor Dreyer (1889-1968) is a giant in Danish cinema. On the occasion of carlthdreyer.dk, a comprehensive website on the filmmaker's life and work launched May 2010, the Danish Film Institute asked three prominent Danish directors about their relationship to Dreyer:
