Only five months after
its kick-off in November 2002, the Danish Film Institute's FILM-X has
proved an overwhelming success. More than 3,000 school pupils and over
1,000 other visitors have so far tried their hand at filmmaking in the
sophisticated studio equipped with the latest technology. Teachers have
also shown a keen interest in extending their knowledge of filmmaking.
Courses have been provided at FILM-X for 150 teachers prior to visits from
pupils whose ages range from 6 years to 18 years. FILM-X was shortly after
its opening fully booked until the summer holidays. Reservations are
already being taken for the autumn and winter season 2003.
During the summer of
2003 FILM-X will be open for tourists as well as local visitors: from the
8th-25th July, Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:00-15:00 (the morning session
from 10:30-12:30 and afternoon session from 13:00-15:00). Reservations can
be made at telephone +45 3374 3412 from the 1st May 2003.
