"Go With Peace Jamil" selected for Rotterdam and Göteborg

The Danish feature film "Go With Peace Jamil" is selected for the official competition at the two prestigious international festivals in Rotterdam (23 January – 3 February) and Göteborg (25 January – 4 February).
"Go With Peace Jamil", Omar Shargawi's directorial debut, is produced with support from New Danish Screen, the Danish Film Institute's subsidy scheme for new talent. New Danish Screen has brought forth such sensational feature film debuts as Pernille Fischer Christensen's "A Soap", triple winner at the 2006 Berlin Film Festival, and Anders Morgenthaler's "Princess", selected as the opening film at Cannes' Directors' Fortnight the same year.
"Go With Peace Jamil" is an action drama set in Copenhagen against the backdrop of a religious hatred that goes centuries back. Young Jamil, a Dane with Arab background, finds himself in the middle of this ancient feud, trying to follow his own way and choose rightly between vengeance and reconciliation.
The film is produced by Meta Louise Foldager for Zentropa and sold by Trust Film Sales.
