Helium wins an Oscar

THE OSCARS. Director Anders Walter and M&M Productions win the Oscar in the Live Action Short category for "Helium".

"Helium" is a story of a young boy, Alfred, who lies terminally ill in hospital and finds comfort in the janitor's tales of a magical land of floating islands named Helium.

Illustrator, comic book artist and director Anders Walter has previously directed the short films "The Talking Suitcase" and "9 Meter."

This is the fourth time a Danish short film wins an Oscar – all produced by M&M Productions: "Election Night" in 1999, "This Charming Man" in 2003, "The New Tenants" in 2010 and now "Helium."
