A Hijacking wins two prizes in Thessaloniki

AWARDS. Tobias Lindholm's "A Hijacking" received the Best Feature Film Award and the FIPRESCI award at the 53d Thessaloniki International Film Festival.

"A Hijacking" by Tobias Lindholm won two prizes at Thessaloniki International Film Festival, the largest film festival in Greece, at the awards ceremony on Saturday 10 November: The Best Feature Film Award and the critic's FIPRESCI award for a film in the International Competition Section.

Just two day prior, "A Hijacking" brought home the New Auteurs Audience Award at the AFI Fest, and in October, the film received to awards at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival.

Tobias Lindholm has previously been noticed in Thessaloniki. His first feature film "R", which he directed with Michael Noer, was invited to the festival two years ago, where Thomas Vinterberg's "Submarino", of which Lindholm was screenwriter, also participated.

"A Hijacking" is produced by Tomas Radoor and René Ezra for Nordisk Film with support from the Danish Film Institute.
