Lone Garde comes from a position as Deputy Director of the Institut Français, the French Embassy's culture department in Copenhagen, where she for a number of years acted as cultural attaché with responsibility for the embassy's many activities in film and television, digital projects, design, visual arts, music and performing arts.
Lone Garde graduated from the University of Copenhagen in 2005 with a master's degree in French and art history, and in 2020 she was honoured with the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
Creative Europe MEDIA Desk Denmark is responsible for inspiring, motivating and advising the Danish audiovisual industry to make use of the opportunities in Creative Europe MEDIA support programme and to spread the knowledge of the programme in Denmark. The current programme period was launched in 2021 and runs through 2027. As head of the Creative Europe MEDIA Desk Denmark, Lone Garde will be part of the international team at the Danish Film Institute.
