Oscar nomination to In a Better World

NOMINATION. Golden Globe winner Susanne Bier receives her second Oscar nomination, this time for the drama In a Better World.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences has nominated Susanne Bier and Zentropa's "In a Better World" to compete in the category of Best Foreign Language Film.

"In a Better World" is produced by Sisse Graum Jørgensen for Zentropa. The story is by Susanne Bier and Anders Thomas Jensen, the screenplay by Anders Thomas Jensen. Director of photography is Morten Søborg and editor is Pernille Bech Christensen.

Interview with Susanne Bier
It's never just black and white 

Released in the Nordic countries, "In a Better World" has attracted a large audience at the domestic boxoffice, while bringing home plaudits from  numerous international film festivals.

International sales are confirmed in all corners of the globe, and within the next few months "In a Better World" will appear in cinemas in Korea, Hong Kong, Brazil, Germany and France, along with other countries in Europe. US distribtuion is handled by Sony Pictures Classic.
