Plaudits Continue for Applause

AWARDS Martin Pieter Zandvliet's feature film debut "Applause" sweeps up yet another top award, this time the Maverick Spirit Award at Cinequest festival in San Jose, California this week.

"Applause" is recipient of a string of plaudits from prestigious festivals such as The Hamptons, Karlovy Vary and Mumbai.

Another Danish film screening at Cinequest — Kathrine Windfeld's "The Escape" — won the festival's Global Landscapes Award.
