Christoffer Boe's
feature film debut "Reconstruction" swept away two awards at this year's
Cannes Film Festival: the Camera d'Or and Label Regards Jeune. Chaired by
Wim Wenders, the Camera d'Or Jury chose "Reconstruction" as Best Feature
Film Debut among 19 other first-films that competed in the Offical
Selection and independent programmes; and at the closing ceremony of the
independent 42nd International Critics' Week, "Reconstruction" was awarded
Label Regards Jeune for Best Feature Film.A graduate of the
National Film School of Denmark, Christoffer Boe's film "Anxiety" received
the Critics' Award at the Film School Festival in Poitiers in
2002, which qualified it to screen at the International Critics' Week
in Cannes the same year. The creative force behind
"Reconstruction", and also "Anxiety", is Hr. Boe & Co., a group
consisting of director Christoffer Boe, producer Tine Grew Pfeiffer,
director of photography Manuel Alberto Claro and sound designer Morten
Green. "Reconstruction", the second film in Nordisk Film's Director's Cut
concept, was produced by Nordisk Film Production (Åke Sandgren and Lars
Kjeldgaard) in co-operation with the national broadcaster TV 2/Danmark and
supported by the Danish Film Institute. The film is expected to be
released late summer 2003.Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Marie Bonnevie, who
also appeared in "Anxiety", are the leading players in "Reconstruction", a
romantic drama with psychological undertones, about a photographer, Alex,
who abandons his girlfriend, Simone, to pursue the beautiful
