Three short films to Clermond-Ferrand

Clermond-Ferrand International Short Film Festival is opening tomorrow with three Danish films in the programme.

"Cathrine" by Mads Matthiesen and "Mirror" by Joachim Ladefoged are selected for competition, while "Bryllupsnatten" by Mads Tobias Olsen is screening in the Panorama section at Clermond-Ferrand International Short Film Festival (29 Jan-6 Feb 2010) in France.

Mads Matthiesen's "Cathrine" is participating in the festival's International Competition. The film is about 16-year-old Cathrine, who is trying to keep a relationship to the 33-year-old Lars hidden from her parents. "Cathrine" was selected for Berlin International Film Festival in the Generation 14plus section in 2009.

"Mirror" by Joachim Ladefoged is selected for the Lab Competition for experimental films. The film, an art documentary of sounds and images, devoid of dialogue, shows the narcissistic aspect of being a bodybuilder.

Mads Tobias Olsen's "Bryllupsnatten" from 1997 will be shown in the Panorama section: Zombies, Vampires and Other Undead. The film is a romantic zombie musical comedy about Irene and Verner, who died many years ago, but leave their graves and dance the night away once a year on their wedding anniversary night.
