In »Evidence« Ane Mette Ruge uses an endoscope to examine the interior of pockets, shoes and porcelain figures. In a compostition with stationary pictures of steep, deserted mountain tops and masses of clouds these close-ups of things which we have not previously seen form the setting of a number of texts. The texts deal with the place where something has happened (scene of the crime) and about what we cannot know (God's face). Common to the two notions are the idea that something - the most important thing - is hidden to us.
