Some children experience hospital as a strange, frightening world. The purpose of the educational film is to explain and thereby take some of the »drama« out of the situations that arise when children are taken to hospital. The film gives a brief description of a casualty ward, which is often a child's first impression of a hospital. Then we follow Henrik, aged 5 years, during his daily routine in hospital: tests, operation and discharge.
