A cartoon version of H. C. Andersen’s famous fairy tale about the staunch tin soldier who falls in love with a dancing ballerina, sets out on an adventure, and is finally engulfed by the flames of love.

The film is full of funny scenes with living toys. It was both filmed and directed by Karl Wieghorst, who also produced several cartoons for Robert Storm Petersen, better known as Storm P.
