Before the guests arrive

A picture poem with two people in a seaside hotel on the Danish island of Fanø. The women speak together in sporadic sentences where the pauses are just as expressive as the remarks. The old seaside hotel with its owner and staff is full of atmosphere and stories from the past...wo elderly women are making a small beach hotel on the west coast of Denmark ready for the oncoming season, while they talk about life and death and tease each other. A poetic perception of the relationship between Mrs. Bech and Mrs. Christensen and the well-ordered past they have chosen as their present.
